Malakaizen (or Malachi for short) is my seven year old Friesian ster stallion.
His registered name is Maurus, and he is from stamline 15. He is a Tsjerk son out of the first premie ster mare Bente by
Teunis. He is currently in dressage training. He shows amazing
potential in carrying himself forward through the levels. He will be showing third level in 2011. We are hoping
he will earn his Sport predciate! He has the heart of a winner, and he aims to please his rider. He is a diamond
in the rough, and we have no doubt he will shine as an upper level dressage horse one day.
He is a source of utter joy and laughter for me. Our journey
has only begun, yet I feel like he has already burrowed his way into my heart forever. My promise to him is always to
strive to be a person deserving of his attention and trust. I love growing with him. I love being a witness to
his ever maturing, thinking mind. I love that he follows me wherever I go - that he chooses me is a great honor.
He amazes me on a daily basis. He is truly one of the most remarkable horses I have ever met in my life. He can
be quiet, yet noble - bold, yet precise - and energetic, yet focused. He makes me a better horsewoman and a
better person. He taught me that it takes as long as it takes and nothing is as important as a mind that begins and
ends all things with focus, faith, and confidence. He will always have a home with me, and my home would never
be the same without him. I believe we were meant for each other - a safe place for each other's spirits. He
is a treasure sent to me from up above, and my only plea is that God allows me to keep him with me for as long as possible,
so our days continue to be filled with laughter, learning, and love.

| Is it possible to look bad standing next to him? I don't think so. |
| I can't keep my hands off this horse! |
| He makes this tomboy feel so special. |
| I need some alone time, please. |
| This is what we call sit and go! |
| He is always so patient with me primping him for hours! |
| Is it wrong to love something so much? |
| Are the pictures done yet, Mom? Because those mares are looking really good right now! |
